Located on the easternmost tip of Shandong Peninsular, Rongcheng City is surrounded by the sea on three sides with a coastline of 500 kilometers. It faces Korea across the sea and is the nearest place to Korea from China. Rongcheng covers an area of 1,392 square meters and has a population of 680,000 in 1 precinct, 13 towns, 6 sub-districts, 861 administrative villages and 96 residential committees. It has two first-class open ports: Shidao Port and Longyan Port.
