Rongcheng has 267 marine food enterprises above designated size, with annual processing capacity of 2.75 million tons. Its sales income reached 130 billion yuan, which is the nation's largest frozen prepared food, kelp food, seafood, canned food production base.There are 444 refrigerated processing plants in the city, 728 tons of cold storage capacity, 50,000 tons of daily quick-freezing capacity, 101 of kelp processing plants and 77 fish meal factories. In 2016, the industry revenue of aquatic products was 35.58 billion yuan, with an increase of 8%.
